Body of Bakersfield Man Found in Trunk of Car

Details:On 8-26-08, at about 08:45 am, Deputies from the Metropolitan Patrol Division were dispatched to an unknown circumstance investigation in the 1600 block of Palm Drive. Deputies arrived and spoke with the Bonnie Roe, who told Deputies she located a dead body in the trunk of a White Toyota Camry. Bonnie Roe said the Camry belonged to her grandson, Elliott Roe.



Deputies confirmed there was a deceased adult male inside the trunk of the Camry. Deputies confirmed the vehicle was registered to Elliot Roe. Bonnie Roe said Elliott Roe has been missing since Friday 8-22-08. Bonnie Roe said Elliot Roe had not been reported missing to a law enforcement agency.

Detectives from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit responded to conduct an investigation. During the course of the investigation detectives did not find any obvious signs of trauma to the deceased. Detectives are investigating this case as a suspected homicide. The Coroners office has identified the body as Elliot Roe 25 years of age. The Coroner’s office has scheduled autopsy for tomorrow 8-27-08. The cause of death is undetermined at this time.
